Booking Your Holiday

If you’d like to go ahead and book, it's simple:
Go to our ‘Availability & booking’ page, click on one of the available ‘arrival’ dates on the calendar (these are underlined), select number of days, click ‘Continue’ and you’ll get a breakdown of costings with tick-boxes for optional extras and any relevant discounts applied (for low occupancy or two-week stays).
If you’re happy with the costings, click ‘Continue’ and the online booking form will appear.
Fill this in (essential fields are marked with a red *) and press ‘Continue’ again.

When I confirm your booking, you’ll be sent details for payment of your deposit (£100).
This can be paid either by bank transfer or by credit card (through Stripe).

General information:

Prices are based on five guests, but we can accommodate six (or even seven) if required.
Beds: We have two spare single divan beds. One can be added to the double bedroom and/or the single room (see photos). Cost £10 per night for each extra bed.
We also have a Zed Bed, suitable for a child. Cost £7.50 per night.

For babies/very young children, we can supply a cot with bedding, a high chair and a retractable stairgate for £10 per night.

Discounts: Weekly rates - 7th night free. Fortnightly rates: 3 nights free.
Low occupancy rates (apart from high season) - 5% off for a party of three, 10% off for a couple or 12.5% for a single person.
Longer stays in winter: 50% discount for 28 nights of more (November to March only).

Sorry, we can’t accommodate any pets. Please arrange for them to have their own 'holiday'.

Arrivals and departures: Arrival time is between 4.30pm and 9.30pm and departure before 10am – unless otherwise arranged beforehand.

Changeover days are generally Saturdays between late May and late September. You're welcome to arrive on Sunday, but your departure will need to be on a Saturday.

Deposit: We ask for a £100 deposit at the time of booking in order to secure your dates.

Balance: This is due at least 30 days before the start of your holiday.

I also ask for a ‘damage deposit’ of £150 which I’ll refund to you immediately after your stay if there have been no mishaps.

Terms and Conditions:

If your circumstances change and you need to cancel, we’ll be happy to either transfer your stay to other dates (subject to availability) given at least six weeks notice - or to refund all monies paid (less £25 re-advertising fee) if we're able to find other holiday-makers to fill your dates at the same price. For a short notice cancellation, we may need to reduce the price in order to secure a replacement booking. In this case you'll be refunded the reduced amount.
Within 28 days of the start of your stay, payment cannot be refunded if we're unable to secure a replacement booking. You may wish to take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover this eventuality.
In the unlikely event of us having to cancel your holiday, then of course all monies paid will be refunded asap.

Payment: As soon as you've sent your booking form, your dates will be blocked off provisionally on our calendar - until your booking has been confirmed and we've received your deposit (£100) which will secure them (3 days max). The balance for your holiday will be due at least 30 days before the start of your stay. If payment is not received by 28 days before the start date and we're unable to get hold of you to reach an alternative arrangement, then we'll consider the holiday to be cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded.
Payments can be made either by bank transfer or by credit card (through Stripe).

Damage: We charge a damage deposit of £150. This can be added to the balance or paid in cash on arrival if preferred. We ask to be informed immediately of any breakages or damage. We'll not charge for minor mishaps (such as a broken glass) but we reserve the right to charge for larger items which may need to be replaced, even when the charge exceeds the damage deposit paid.

Liability: We can accept no liability for personal injury to visitors, unless caused by our own negligence. While we consider Trelowia to be a very safe place, we can take no responsibility for the safety of your possessions.

Covid 19: We require visitors to inform us if they develop symptoms before, during or immediately after their stay. If Covid is confirmed, we will do our best to find a sympathetic and sensible solution to the situation.
